Canine Trauma Dog Team

Trauma Dog Team is a voluntary, not for profit community service that will be provided & developed by Island Dog Lodge.

We have worked hard to bring this program to life and have committed to training & volunteer time along with our investment of support through our own programs where we have donated our funds back into this amazing program! We have raised $18,000 to date.

Transportation Bus will help the Trauma Team to travel to various locations for training and services throughout. Olafs ride is in memory of the wolfhound who inspired us by his years of service as a therapy dog.

This program will consist of a unit of trained dogs and handlers specifically trained to deal with a critical events & crisis or any independent need of support through addictions, child welfare, children’s medical treatments, women’s abuse, grief and any vulnerable sector in our community.

We currently have a team in place and will be looking for anyone who feels their dog has the ability to be a future part of this community minded program.
